Alright With Me - Poem

I’ve done a lot of things
Just trying to get free
And freedom where I’ve found
Is where I live and breathe
Like whispers in the wind
That blow between the trees
I’ve fucked it up sometimes
But that’s alright with me

And let me tell you now
That peaches in the cream
Don’t always taste the way
You think, or how it seems
But even in the dark
The moon will shine a beam
Reminding me that life
Is quite alright with me

There’s lots that you can do
And plenty you can be
We’re worth much more than gold
I think that you’d agree
So even when you’re low
And sinking in the sea
I love you just the same
You’re still alright with me
